HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

oh wow, we made it till the end. it was touch and go there for awhile, but we made it, yay!!!! i'm so proud! i would like to thank y'all for all the wonderful love that y'all have been showing for all these days, i truely do apperiate it very much! i made this atc using smeared ink's shadow thingy's, and the fly. the skull came from a tattoo artist card and the 31 came from a book page. i used distressed embossing powder from tim holtz and some of his wonderful ink. without tim holtz what would we do? :) oh and some ms glitter. i had so much fun enjoying all the wonderful projects these fabolous ladies have been making this month! i have so many ideas for next year, even some unfinished projects almost ready to go for next year! i have several things that didn't get finished, i don't know if i'll show them later on, or auto post them for next year :). now go to my sidebar and finish the hop! enjoy! lisa

hello guys and dolls! welcome back to the last couple of days of the 31 days. i'm kinda sad to see this at the end. here's my offering for today! i dripped alcohol inks, green and purple, over a clear ornament. i used lonely boy and puff from the fabulous company smeared ink.  i've done a couple of these with the image stamped right on the ornament with staz-on, but with lonely boy, i wanted to give him some color. i have forgotten were the smeared ink forum is, well here you go! now go to my sidebar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

DAY 28!!!!!

hello and welcome back! i made this  using the wonderful strange skin  digi's. i was making this from a sketch for a challenge, but i looked at it once, and then i got it confused with another sketch, and now i can't use it for either. the lesson i have learned is to write it down, or take the computer with me when i start working on sketchs. but i like the card! my life has been crazy these past few days, and will contuine to be until next week, so i'm not getting to finish projects that i have started :(. i might still be showing halloween into nov and dec :).

and it's smeared ink thursday!!!!! i made this for small child. he asked me to make him a book like mine. for his i used the lil' grumpies. as i was making it, he pick up a grumpie, and in a cute 4 year old's voice said 'aww i love the grumpies, their so cute!" i used copics to color them and stamped steinments that matches what he says when he throws a fit :). he's very proud of this notebook and freaks out when he can't find it! now go to my sidebar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

hello, did you trust me good judgement on tuesday? well if not, go here. i made this card based on two things, bombshell stamps sketch challenge and haunted design house challenge, which was to get inky. i'm also entering this into wild flower patch challenge, anything halloween, also a crafty little place, for spooky. i inked up everything but the brown base color. even lonely boy is inked up! i distressed all the edges of the papers. now go to my sidebar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

DAY 26!!!!!

hello and welcome back ladies and grems!!!!! well, go here, cause you trust my good judgement! this so didn't turn out how i planned it. i spray painted a lovely wreath black and some red poppies black, then i was going to add my welcome in the middle and add some spiders and the fly on the red square in the wreath. sounds pretty right? well, the welcome didn't fit in the middle of the wreath, i tried very hard, but it wouldn't work. determined that i was to make this work so i used the lid of my photo box holder. glued my welcome and poppies around it. the spiders didn't seem to work, so i have this great old college biology book, so i cut out some insects and glued them betweem my flies. the flies didn't come out well in the pictures. for the welcome sign i used distress crackle paint, then covered it with alcohol ink. now go to my sidebar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa, oh but before you go, i touched rob zombie!!!! we were super close! alice cooper was AWESOME!

hello, wow, thanks guys and dolls for hanging in there and all the wonderful comments!!! if you are new and would like some info go here.  in following with the halloween/dead of the day, i made something dead of the day, which i'm also going to enter into the bombshell stamps challenge. in case you didn't know, after celebrating our dead on oct 31st and nov 1st, you send them home on nov 2nd, (which is my mom's birthday, but she doesn't appreciate the dead day though). so i made my pocket invite to send back our dead! i used the same tombstone invite from a few post down. i added some eyelets to give it a corset feel. my stamp is from bombshell! now go to my sidebar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

hello, can you believe halloween is almost here! crazyness! well, if you would like some info go here, and while you are there, hang out a bit. i made this picture using the wickedly awesome digi stamps from strange skin. i have used it before, but just pieces of it. so as promised here is the whole thing. the picture doesn't seem to do it justice though. i really like this one. anyway, i had the back of an old frame, and built the picture up from there. i inked my black and white paper, used a map from an old book, and some old bailing wire from my dad. i inked the images, then colored. the sugar skull is from bombshell, by the way.  i inked up some white ribbon to frame everything out. i think it's a sponsor day, so head over to terra's blog for all the info! now go to my sidebar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

hello, go here to find out what's going on and while you are there, hang around and join the great group of people who hang out there. today is smeared ink thursday!!!! don't you just love smeared ink thursday? i know i do! i made this card for the latte lounge challenge, make a halloween/fall 3d project. i used lonely boy, which i love, cause the set come with two scenes, this one and another with lonely boy trick or treating. i love these!!! you stamp and color and you have a card! but i couldn't just stamp and color, i stamped it out twice, so i could cut out, the tombstones and his head, which i attached on top of my original image with pop dot things, to give it the 3D look. i colored the tombstone's grey then inked them, and his head too. i colored the scene then inked it and i wanted the moon to look like a harvest moon, so i used 3 different types of micro beads. before putting lonely boy on my card, i put a good layer of glue on the black, then added orange tissue paper, then i ripped the tissue paper around the edges, while the glue was wet, then added glitter to the edges. now go to my sidebar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

hello again!!! did you go to the smeared ink forum and read the info on the 31 days? if not, go here. let me start off my saying i'm a reader, but i haven't read all the classics like a good reader should. pride and prejudice is one of those classics that i haven't read (nor have a seen a movie, cause i want to read the book). but when i saw pride and prejudice and zombies i had to read it. while flipping through, i saw this picture and i thought it would be perfect for haunted design house's 'a lil lurid and lovesick. the girl is turning into a zombie, and the man is very much in love. i made a copy from the book, then just colored her lips, flowers, and his tie. i made a copy of my death tarot card and cut it where it fit in the middle, i used smeared ink's shadow things hearts around the edges. i cut the pink paper, to give it a frame look. i'm sorry i lied on tuesday, but today is a sponsor day!!! so go to terra's blog and get the info! get to hopping!!! enjoy! lisa

hello, and welcome back! would you like info on what's going on? go here. i believe today is a sponsor day!!! so head over to terra's blog for the info. in the smeared ink forum, there is a challenge to make something based on rob zombie's video for 'living dead girl'. you can find all the info here.  i used my shadow thing from smeared ink to represent rob zombie, and my living dead girl came from stampitcrazy. the words i printed off the computer. i colored her gray and purple, but you can only see the purple. this is supposed to be in the shape of a tombstome, but i really don't think it looks to tombstoneish, but if you would like the templete go here. i'm super exicted because this sunday hubby and i get to see rob zombie and alice cooper!!! i can't wait, hopfully i'll be able to get my camera in, if so i'll share some pictures with y'all.  now get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

DAY 18!!!!

hello and welcome all who stop by, whether you leave a comment or not :). this is my halloween treat box, granted i can only put candy corn in it, but it's cool. halloween to me is also worn and tattered, not just dark and creepy(even though, i love the creepy). so, 16 matchboxes, and several hours later, i have made this groovy box.  so i saw this and i thought, i could do that, well, i didn't read the directions, so mine is not as neat as hers, but i had fun with it. i used a mini grumpie from smeared ink. i distress the book paper with yellow ink and then used green alcohol ink on top of that. i painted all the boxes green and then when over them with the alcohol ink. i'm really wishing that i didn't used the red beads, but i realized this after i had 4 glued on, and it was such a pain, that i just left it. i embossed the grumpies with distress embossing powder. i had several issues with this along the way, but it turned out pretty well, if i do say so myself! i'm entering this into stampotique designers challenge, make a treat box. get back or start your hop!!!! enjoy! lisa

hello, and welcome back to day 17! thanks for hanging out and for the wonderful comments y'all have been leaving! if you are new or just what to refresh your memory go here. i made this card based on the challenge at freshly brewed challenges, in which you need to make something with purple and black. i'm also going to enter is in the stampin' royalty halloween challenge and aly's sunday challenge as well. when i got my grumpies from the wonderful company smeared ink , i stamped it on a book page just to see what it would look like. then i wasn't sure what to do with it, then i found this challenge. i colored my grumpie with purple and used pink for some highlights and little blue in the eyes.  i used happy halloween and the candy corn from lonely boy. get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

hello, how's life been treating you? if you would like some info on what's going on, then please feel free to leave for a little bit and go here. you have till midnite(centeral time) in enter in here. so for my project today i took inspiration from barb's challenge at haunted design house, which was simply sinister. and i took that challenge very literally. i used rock and roller girl from tiddly inks. she's too cute and i wanted to make her sinister. so on the bottom part of her skirt i went over the lines in black to make them stronger. then i gave her a sinister mouth. after coloring her, of course i had to ink her, for a darker roller girl. for the card, i traced a skull and gave it a fold, like i did for the pumpkin card a few posts down. get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

DAY 14!!!!

hello!!!! k, so just in case you would like more info on what's happening go here. would you like to win something? will go here. hey it's thursday!!! so it's smeared ink day!! so i do use the wonderful, absolutely fabulous stamps more then one day a week. but on thurs, you will always be able to find a wonderful smeared ink project. so, i love this thing. unfortunately i couldn't find the fake tea light things, i tried using a real tea light, but i didn't want it to catch on fire. so, instead of seeing it at night, without a tea light, i had to go with sunlight. i found the template here, but i fixed it, by giving a larger window. so i inked the frame, then i used clear acite(?) and covered it with green alcohol ink, i let that dry, then stamped lonely boy with staz-on, did that for all three sides. then i hit it with the heat gun, but just for a second. then glued everything together. i plan on making about 7 to 9 of these, but all different. i'm going to put them on my porch. i'm entering this into wee memories and cupcake craft and stamping vacation halloween challenge! now get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

hello and welcome back!!! here's  the info on the 31 days of halloween, and here's the info on my giveaway. oh my gosh, i have 2 projects for you today! strange skin digi's is sponoring the hop today, so that means there is a little something hidden in a blog. go to terra's blog for more info. this is the first digi i have every worked with. crazyness i know, but i was very anti digi, scrapbook and stamp wise (i'm also very anti e-reader, i love real books). i would apperiate others digital work, but i didn't think it was for me. i'm a tangible kinda of person, but with a little help from the wonderful ladies in the smeared ink form i was able to figure this out. i now realize i wrong about digtial so i've turned, i'm loving digi now. now this one is an awesome stamp, it really bigger, it's called dia de los muertos go check it out, i ended up cutting it up and using pieces. this is a little bigger the an atc, i used some fabric on the background and some ms's wonderful halloween glitter. if you notice by her face is the word october

totally unplanned, i was going to use the back of this page, but i screwed it up when i was inking it. i'm thinking i'm going to enter this into haunted house design. i'm also going to entry this into hodge podge first challenge. ok now for my second post!!!! thursday is my day to make y'all something awesome with the simply wonderful smeared ink stamps, so you need to make sure you at least come back on thursdays!!!!

i made this too super cool altered box using killer bo peep, the skulls on the side also from killer bo peep. i did try and keep both pieces somewhat uniform, so i used the same book and the same ms glitter. after coloring miss. bo, i sprayed her green for a zombie look, but then changed my mind and sprayed her, with black glitter spray, she turned out pretty cool in real life, cause you still can kinda see the green. i used fun flock on her bow, which i added before i sprayed, so it also has a touch of glitter. now go to my sidebar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa
