a handy dandy notebook

hello, i altered a plain handy dandy notebook, into a it's so pretty i don't want to use it handy dandy notebook. i used faes from smeared ink. i used stickles after i colored it. for the paper i used tissue paper that i inked, which i believe is my new favorite thing to do.  i glued around the edges and then torn the excess paper off.  for the dragon fly, it's a class-a-peel sticker that i put on clear sheet, then glittered. enjoy! lisa

simply betty and smeared ink blog hop

.

hello, better late then never right :).  simply betty and the smeared ink design team, together for a wonderful blog hop. for my card i used christian. i used embossing powder to give the effect of a skate board tape. i also embossed his eyes. i sprayed the base of the card with mayan spray stuff, then tore the second layer of paper. for christian's base paper, i used tissue paper and distressed inks, then sprayed the mayan stuff. i also sprayed the ribbon, which at one time was blue, but with red and black spray made a pretty good looking ribbon. enjoy and now get to hopping!!! lisa

create something wearable

hello, so my challenge over here at the smeared ink ning network, is to create something wearable. so for this month i'm planning on throwing in wearable stamps threw out the month. i created these rings with the killer bo peep set. for the top one i chalked the top purple and the bottom green, then i wanted to see what the crackle would look like. i wish the colors would have come out in the picture.  i embossed both images for texture. i used my crop-a-dile, to punch hole in small wooden disks, then placed an eyelet on for strength. i wire wrapped it on my finger for size. super easy to make, for both it took about 15 or so mins. sorry the bottom picture is so fuzzy, it was the best i could get. enjoy! lisa

smeared ink guest designer

hello again, i'm super exicted, for the month of july i'll be smeared ink's guest designer!!!!!! i found a sad board at goodwill for .99. it looked as though at one time it was a place to hold keys. so i decied to breath new life into it. i inked tissue paper with distressed inks. i used brown, green and blue, then layer them onto the board. then i stamped the musical note from jack.  for the letters i first covered the chip board in brown ink, then used distress crackle in blue.
a little closer view so you can really see the paper, stamp, and letters. i will be posting a challenge here on the smeared ink ning page, later on today, go and check it out for the chance to win some great stamps!!! i will be posting more often this month. i have been working on some things i hope y'all will enjoy. lisa
