the last thursday's with lisa

i'm crying :( this is the last thursday's with lisa and i almost dropped the ball. i'm sorry about that. i had some picture issues last night, and was going to post this morning, but while dropping the kids off, i recieved a phone call and had to go to a meeting that lasted about 2 hours longer then i though. i didn't reapply this term because of things like that, i'm trying to get my business built up bigger and it's taking up more of my time. i'm so sorry about the lateness. anyway, back to my project. i used stumpie from original grumpies from smeared ink i pleated some pattern tissue paper and glued it on to a book page. colored stumpie with my copics (if i do say so myself, i'm getting a little better at that). made a cute flower and used an ms punch for the butterflies, which finish it off. i'm going to miss the wonderful group of ladies on the smeared ink team, i will still be hanging out in the smeared and smudged forum so come and join in.  sadly i say enjoy! lisa

smeared ink end of term blog hop

hello and welcome to the end of term smeared ink blog hop! i'm sad to see this term end. this go around i did not reapply :(, i hoping to get some things taken care of in the next four months to reapply (and if you didn't get a chance to apply, you only have to wait 4 months to apply!). smeared ink has some super awesome digi stamps coming out today.

how super fabulous are all of these! i have made my list!

the challenge for this hop was to use a new release digi and at least 2 other smeared ink stamps. as you can see i used more then 3 smeared ink stamps. since i used more then 3, if you can tell me the number of stamps used and the name of all the stamps i used then i will send you some goodies that will be appearing in my etsy shop soon, plus some items that are already in there! BLOG CANDY ladies and maybe gentlemen! now you must leave your answer in a comment and you must answer before 5pm centeral time tomorrow. i will have the picture up of the goodies along with the winner around 5:30pm centeral time tomorrow. i do encourage you to cheat by going here. 

i will randomly select a winner, if the first winner doesn't have the right answer then i will do it till i find one.

now, on to my project. i used 4x4in cork board squares that i painted and stamped on.

i super proud of the coloring on the mermaid, i finally blended my copics! the sea shells came from our mini spring break to the beach. my plan was/is to make these into mini inspiration cork boards, i was going to hang them with some wire that i have in our shed, on the way our there, hubby stopped me, the bees have decide to make a home there :( after we get a bee man out here, then we will have to tear it down, i was going to use it as a chicken coup :( (i really want chickens, and we can have them in town!). once i get something to hang them, they will be perfect to add some cute push pins too, then load them up with small fabric and paper pieces! enjoy! now get to hopping! lisa

thursday's with smeared ink

hello and welcome to smeared ink thursday! for today's project i used a grumpie. my little grumpie did not come out as excepted, i was going for a flat 3d look, instead it came out blurry :(. anyway, i tore pieces of newspaper for the background paper. then cut out a few choice words for a seintment. for my emblishment i used two different size wooden diskes, the larger one i covered in newspaper, then inked it, placed a smaller one with a butterfly on top. please join us here we are good and wonderful people hanging out in there. they are there when you need them! lovely people so come and join us! enjoy! lisa

smeared ink thursday!!!!!!!

hello and welcome back! sorry i've been gone, but i've been busy, busy, busy. and as y'all read this i will be traveling/in austin at sxsw!!!! oh how super duper exicted i am! it almost didn't happen! anyway, i made this using the super awesome stamps from smeared ink. it's a box that i first painted silver, then i cut 2in squares of three different types of paper and glued them on. i then inked it up with three different types of distressed inks, while it was still wet from glue and ink i sanded it alot. then covered it with versa pad and added disstress embossing powder, wipped some away and heated. i stamped my images on a brown paper bag, i used two different types of disstressed ink on each

then crinkled the paper inked the entrie image with aged paper ink and lightly sanded it. i think it turned out pretty groovy! enjoy! lisa don't forget to join us at the smeared and smudge forum! happy st. paddies day!!!!! (see the green)

hello and welcome to smeared and smudged monthly member blog hop! the challenge for the hop was to used only brown and green in your project! so i did. i used bird stamps from smeared ink for my tag. i cut some paper strips and inbetween the strips i put a strip of puffy paint. then i stamped the birds in brown ink and green ink. then place a bunch of fibers at the top! if you leave a comment on the blogs you will have a chance to win these two digis from strange skin! now get to hopping and spread some love! enjoy! lisa

hello and welcome to thursday with lisa. i'm getting a jump start on easter. i made this bag using occasions lil grumpies from smeared ink. now that i see it in the picture i wish i added some blue or green yarn too. anyway, i dipped the yellow yarn in a mixture of white glue and glitter, then rolled it, placed it on the bag, and after it dried i glued it to the bag. for the orange yarn i rolled it then glued it on the bag. if you plan on doing something like this, then dip it in the white glue first, it made it easier because it makes it stiff and easier to glue down. i painted the grumpies feet and ears with arylic paint. for the tag i used digi paper from crafty chaos designs. i again painted the feet and ears with the arylic paint, well it was still wet i dusted it with glitter. enjoy! don't forget to join us at the smeared and smudged forum! lisa
