it's coming.....

isn't it lovely that all hallow's eve is coming! i can't wait! i'm getting all perpared for the 31 days!!!!

oh, and i'm sorry i missed the let's sew wednesday, i had an all day eye appt out of town, not fun!  anyway, about my card, i took inspiration from the haunted design house '7 deadly sins'  and smudgy antics 'paint'. i painted the card with some left over paint from a 31 days future project! even though you can't tell in the picture, it's a blend of green and black. my card's sin is gluttony, the over use of glitter and embossing powder, plus the cupcake. the cupcake is from smeared ink, the spiders and trick or treat is from unity and the bats were $1 at michaels. i used ms glitter on the cupcake. and for the bats and trick of treat i blended black and white embossing powder. i really like the way the 2 colors came out, i'm going to play around with this more. enjoy! lisa

sideshow stamps!

hello and welcome! for today i have a very cute owl from sideshow stamps! i build up my atc by first stamping 'paisley background'. i punched out a piece of owl paper and ran it through a textured thing. i punched out 2 butterflies from ms, and ran them through the thingy. the owl was colored with copics. i love this owl, he's so cute! i'll be entering this in the following challenges: mark's finest papers 'use a punch', simply stampin' challenge, flutterby butterfly, crafting misfit 'show and tell'! enjoy! lisa

smeared and smudged blog hop

hello and welcome smeared and smudged blog hoppers! today's blog hop is about pieces and parts. we needed to take at least 2 stamps to make new parts or use them in different pieces. so, i used faes and grumpie from smeared ink.  i cut off the poor faes wings and attached them to grumpies back. for the background of my tag, i rubbed some pearl ex all over it, then covered it with crackle paint. i found this great 97 cent punch from walmart of the cute spiders (which will be coming out to play for the 31 days!). just for added cutenest, i added googley eyes to my grumpie. so, ladies and gentlemen, come and join us at smeared and smudged and you could play with us next time! i'm going to enter this in creative card crew 'anything goes', crafty sentiments designs 'halloween', ladybug craft ink tlt challenges 'anything goes', and papertake weekly challenge 'anything goes'.  enjoy and get to hopping! lisa

let's sew wednesday!

hello! and welcome! this super awesome pillow was design by small child. i made it using victorian tiles from a design of leann.  ian picked out the emboridery designs and the fabrics. all the emboridery designs are from urban threads.

i love these images! i had got them to make pillows for hubby and i. i let ian go through all the designs and these were the first he picked.

the fabrics are all car related. ian loves hot wheels cars! he will make sure that his cars are hot wheels, he turns each one over to see what they are.

back of the pillow ;). i love this pattern, it is so easy to use. i will be making more of these! oh, and make sure to come back tomorrow for the smeared and smudged blog hop. enjoy! lisa

sideshow stamps

hello! welcome new followers! i have reused today! i had some love getto in this cute continer (so i may have bought it for the continer, the getto was a bouns). i used 70's owl mate from sideshow stamps.  have you been over there to see the awesome stamps they have! i colored him with pencils, when over it with e000 copic marker and it blended it nicely. i punched out 2 butterflies added bling, then covered the entire lid with crackle paint.

 for the sides, i punched out squares glued them and some more bling! i'm going to enter this in crafting when we can 'anything goes', scrappy frogs challenge 'bling', catch the bug challenge 'anything goes', creations by gill m 'anything that flies', enjoy! lisa

birthday card

hello, i made this funky cool postcard/card for a very good friend of mine who's birthday is tomorrow. i took white card stock and got a sponge wet, dipped it in gray ink, rubbed that all over. then re-wet it dipped it in copper ink went all over and that is the background. the frame is a stamp from tattered angels, which i embossed and took a lighter too. i then inked it up with distress ink. i stamped 'mod girl' from sideshow stamps (the small trees also came from sideshow), her wings came from tattered angels. the larger tree is from smeared ink. i added glitter to all the trees. the cameo in the corner i cut out of paper. i'm putting this in party time tuesday 'anything goes', haunted design house 'i was framed', smudgy antics 'up in flames' and flutter by wednesday 'celebration' enjoy! lisa
