hello and welcome! thank you for all the lovely comments! i have made it to some blogs and some i haven't, but i will get there. if you are new are just happened upon this, then go here to see was is going on. today i have an altered light switch. it didn't quite turn out like i wanted. i used some blue and green distressed stain on it and it beaded up into this nice little circles. i had sanded it down so some of the ink went into the lines. it looked great! then i added smeared ink's (it is smeared ink day too, every friday you will find awesome smeared ink stamps in the hop) skull.
well, when i modpodged everthing, the ink smeared. i let the ink dry for days too, but the cover is not really a porus surface and the ink won't stick on it too well. as you can see in the corner, a few splatters stayed with it. i do like it like this, it reminds me of old wood. now head on over to my sidebar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

which room of the house will this be used? at the top of the stairs going to the creepy, dark basement perhaps
I freakin' love it! Fabulous happy accident!
The result of all the things that went wrong are wonderful!! Kudos to you for sticking with it. My trash can is full of unhappy accidents.
Great idea...love it...Smiles, Jean
Nice accident though (I have had a few of those). What a wonderful idea though to change up switchplates for the holidays. How fun is that. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
