smeared and smudged very sketchy card challenge

hello, i made this card for the smeared and smudged very sketchy card challenge on ning, which you can find here. you need to join, it's a great commiuty of stampers. this months winner gets 50% off their entire order from smeared ink!!!!! you have until march 31st to enter so get over there! on to the card. i have come to the conclusion that sometimes glue isn't my friend, as you can tell from the center piece. if you look closely, the center piece is glittered. i didn't have glittered paper, but still wanted the look, so after i stamped my image i 'painted' stickles on. by the way, my new blog can be found here. enjoy! lisa

altered trading card

hello, welcome back! here's the other i promised. i sprayed the back with red and black mayan spray stuff. which gave it a glittered textured feel. then i cut out 3 strips of extra laying around black paper. my 3 year old had fun with sissors and a one dollar bill. so i inked it with brown ink. the paper is from the instructions from the previous post. for the top skull, i blended red and silver polymar clay, then stamped it with a bombshell stamp. when it was done cooking i painted washed it, i watered down black paint and rubbed it on. for the skull on the bottom, i stamped it on red card stock then went over it with black ink, then i blended black and red glitter for the eyes. i distressed the green paper, which you can't tell on the picture. enjoy! lisa

altered trading cards

i love making altered trading cards, i didn't realize that i have posted one before now. super easy and fun to make. i love mini projects. this one i made with stamps from the angel company. the button is vintage from a garge sale, which i scored at with buttons. i got 3 bags full of buttons for only $1!!!! the background is brown paper that came with a package, that my husband tried to throw away, so now i'm using it in very thing just to prove to him that it wouldn't go to waste. i stamped it with just dream and inked the edges for a vintage feel. then i inked blue, pink and brown on to white card stock then stamp, the tea cup, lady, and flowers. the orange paper in the middle is a library book card which is inked with brown. the paper under is instructions from a 8mm projector that my husband got a the same garge sale i got the buttons at. i don't think he knows i swipped the instructions and have cut them up :). get out there and make an atc. i have another one for you  tomorrow. enjoy! lisa!

i'm so sorry for the picture, i couldn't seem to make it work. the background looks so much better in person. i inked it in brown and pink to give it antiqued look. here it comes off as purple :(. i also added stickles to the wings to give a little sparkle, but i 'painted' it on so that it's not so thick. enjoy! lisa

a card :)

hello, yes i know another bombshell stamp, but i love them. don't worry i will get tried of using them and find another favorite, but until then enjoy! the trim on the side was blue, but i sprayed it with the mayan spray stuff, so you see touches of blue under the red. when i was almost finished with coloring in the skulls i noticed that i smudged one small part red, oh i was sad. it was already a non lisa friendly day. so instead of making another or crying over spilled milk i made the smudge work. make it work! enjoy! lisa

smeared and smudged's blog hop

hello and welcome blog hoppers! about my project, well back in oct my husband and i went to voodoo experience in new orleans. on halloween night we were front row for jane's addiction. they had a awesome stage set up, with 2 big sugar skulls and 2 hugh pin-up girls on both sides of the stage. they played a variety of all their old songs, great show. well at the end dave navarro, what seemed like to us, looked straight at hubby and threw this drum stick at him. some girl thought the same thing and tried to grab it, will needless to say hubby and i came home with it.  i have been waiting to do this shadow box until i recieved my bombshell stamps in, i knew their sugar skull stamps would be perfect for this! i cut up the braclet they give you upon entry into the festival and used my cricket for their name. i realize now, that it is too late, that i shouldn't have taken the picture with the glass on, but it looked so much better with the glass. now that you have checked out my post, head on over to the other wonderful bloggers!

another bombshell stamp

hello, i made this braclet using bombshell sugar skulls, textured cardstock, and wooden nickel disk i bought from hobby lobby. i really should have taken a picture with it on, cause it is super cute on! i left the skulls unprotected, i tried to cover them with modge podge, but i didn't like the way it looked shiney. the cardstock is covered though. i colored the stamps with colored pencils. to make the holes in the disks, i used my crop-a-dile. there is so many possiblity with this. perfect way to display your favorite stamps! be sure to check back on thurs for the smeared and smudged network on ning first ever blog hop!!! if you have not checked out the smeared and smudged stamps go here. i'm trying very hard to decied which i want first, but i think i'm going to go with carnies, but i love them all, one at a time, one at a time! enjoy! lisa

facial moisturizer

hello, this is my 2oz facial moisturizer, made with mango butter, hazelnut oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, carrot oil, and patchouli oil. dermatologists often recommened mango butter for the treatment of wrinkles, as most people who use it will notice decreased signs of aging and the disapperence of lines and wrinkles. this wonderful moisturizer can be found on my etsy page. enjoy! lisa
