hello and welcome! (what??? 2 post in one week! crazyness!) between my mother-in-laws 2 large jars of buttons, my grandmothers buttons, my moms buttons, and a few vintage buttons i've bought over the years i have tons! so i made a bracelet! i added jump rings through the button hole and added them to a chain-link bracelet. for each chain, i added 2 buttons. it took about an hour of tv watching to get it done. this one was made for my mother-in-law out of her buttons (the buttons where from her mother-in-law). enjoy! lisa

paper piecing!
hello and welcome to let's sew wednesday! i bought this wonderful pattern (plus a few others) from bubble stitch. this is the first one i've made and i totally screwed it up! i forgot to print it out reversed and did a very small seam allowance, so as you can tell from the bottom picture, there is 2 rips :(.
here's a link on how to paper piece. when i work on another one, i'll go through step by step and show you how to do it. the wonderful leann is the one who showed me how to paper piece. i wanted to learn after my grandmother passed she left an unfinished paper pieced quilt. one day, i will finish it (hopefully). enjoy! lisa

it's back!!!! let's sew wednesday!
hello and welcome back! sorry i've been gone, but, i'm back!!!! after i finished this project i realized that i'm not a very good blogger. i didn't take pictures of the work in progress, i'm going to work on being a better blogger. (it will take a few post before this happens). my new part-time job is awesome! cause i get great finds all the time! this lovely cup cost me around $3! i made about a 5in yo-yo and filled it with emery. i added a few rocks to the bottom, i glued the edges of the cup and shoved the filled yo-yo in. i glued the cup to the saucer, so i could add extra pins on the bottom. enjoy! lisa
