Day 1 of the 31 days!

hello and welcome to the 1 day of the 31 days of halloween! i may not be the best blogger around, but i will always try and do the 31 days!!!! i love the 31 days! if you have never joined us in this blog hop and have no idea what i'm talking about then go here to find out the info. i promise that my projects will get better over time. every year i say i will make projects ahead of time and every year i wait till the last minute. in my defense i did try and start thing ahead of time, but one of them didn't turn out right, and others in waiting for them to dry i kinda of forgot about them. today's didn't quite turn out as planned but i still like it. this idea came from pinterest. i painted my canvas orange, then heat embossed a spiderweb stamp from unity stamps in white. after placing my letters, i covered the whole thing in black paint. i was hoping the embossing would give it texture, but instead the vinyl didn't stick very well and the paint got underneath the letters. i still like it and it is still going on my wall. now head on over to my sidebar and get to hoping! enjoy! lisa

I like that the letters aren't "perfect"...it adds to the Halloween feel! I love the spider web effect with the letters and I would gladly display this on my wall :)

I'm in agreement with many who like the imperfect letters - much creepier that way and the web showing through is way cool!

Thanks for sharing this great canvas with us. The letters do look spooky, so what you think was a problem when the paint got underneath the letters, added a very cool effect.
