smeared ink!
hello, with the holiday and the move and family coming in from all parts of the globe, i've been neglecting my smeared ink duties :( so, for the next three days i will be making up for it :). (random side note, if i have another child and it's a boy i'm going to name him royal) so for this wonderful, marolous card i used the as death set from smeared ink. i stamped death on velum, then attached it too a book page. for the card base i used the brown paper backing from when you have used all your paper up. i inked it up with brown, red, and green ink. you know the small left over paper slices from paper cutting? well i save all of them (well almost all of them). that is what i used for the corners and then i cut off the execess. two jewels finish it off! enjoy and come back tomorrow for more!!!!! lisa

day 12!!!!!
hello and welcome to the 12th day of Christmas smeared and smudged style! we welcome you to join our forum! today is a smeared ink day! of course i had to finsih off this wonderful hop with a grumpie! for my project i stole inspiration from one of the bloggers on the hop, sadly i can't rememer who and i'm sorry. but said blogger did a grumpie in blue. i used a creamic ornament that i got at joann's on sale! i used blue alochol ink (i was going to paint it, but couldn't find my paints, stupid having to unpack things) then i glued the entire thing and put pattern paper on it (you know, like the tissue pattern paper stuff for sewing), then i embossed a grumpie in black, since the glue wasn't dried all the way, i got WAY more black on it then i wanted and the grumpie didn't come out right. so i embossed the grumpie with blue. it came out WAY better then i wanted it too. this just shows mistakes can work for you! i did have jewels on it, but small child said no, so i listened and took them off, it looks better without them. now get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

tellen's place blog hop!!!!!
hello and welcome to the smeared ink dt blog hop featuring the wonderful digi's of tellen's place. for this blog hop i picked st. nick. for my project, i made small child a blank coloring book. my mom is a librarian, and she got in a box of goodies while i was visiting her the other day. in the box was perfectly blank white books. they were just begging to have something done to them. for st. nick i colored him, and added a couple of drops of gloss on his eyes and glitter on his hat and coat. i placed him on a book page, since he is reading. the glitter thing is made from some wooden circles i've been hanging on to, i covered them in glitter then added gloss to help hold the glitter on. i couldn't find the crayons (haven't finished unpacking yet) so i used a couple of pencils, which are being held in a book page thing, which i inked up. now get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

day 11!!!!!
hello and welcome back! i'm half way through in my attempt to check up on this awesome hop! for today i have shrinky dinked some grumpies again. someone asked how big they come out when finished, they are about 1in 1/2 by 1in 1/2. for this one i used the frosted stuff, i think though, i like the non frosted better though. i attached them to a pick i bought on sale at walmart. i used a jump ring to attach them. i didn't want all of them covered, i thought it might be too much. i might use it as a tree topper, but i'm not sure yet. now go to my sidebar and get to hopping! but don't forget to come back tomorrow and check out the tellen's place blog hop! enjoy! lisa

day 7
hello and welcome back! for day 7 i have made a stocking holder. i kinda of stole the idea from kelli, unlike me, she made the whole thing from scratch. i know this is super simple, we have finally started the move, so my projects may be freakishly simple for a few days. all i did here was stamp my grumpie, colored, and added glitter. it's cute, sorry about the picture. by the way, i just got a flat stocking holder from walmart and made a lip on the bottom of the grumpie. now go to my side bar and get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

day 6!!!!!
hello and welcome back! are you new to the days, well if so go here. i made this for the kidos. this year (when we finally get in the new house) they will have trees in their rooms. they did have the small trees, but this year they are going to have the 3ft trees. i think i'm going to make one for each year of their lives, so i have to play catch up! these are pictures from this year though. i stamped a grumpie on the back of each. very simple, but very cute. if i had time, or was a martha stewert like crack head, i would make present tags like these, but customize for the person getting the persent. (i very truely doubt that will happen, but if you have the time, feel free to steal the idea). now, this is going with my grumpie theme, but not going on the grumpie tree. enjoy! lisa

smeared ink thurs on a friday
hello, due to computer problems this post had to wait until today. for this card i used the symbology of angels from smeared ink. the bottle also came from smeared ink (love the bottles, small child keeps stealing them and i have to steal them back!) i'm also entering this into haunted design house marcbe monday challenge. you can only use 8 items. here i used the base paper, the patterned paper, the green paper, the saying, the stamped image, the button, ribbon and the bottle. in the bottle it's jojoba oil, with one drop camilla essential oil, peppermint essential oil, and two drops lavender oil. when needed you rub a little on your temples and under your nose. come back tomorrow for the 12 days! (i prosime i will fix day 5) enjoy! lisa

day 4 of 12
hello, how's life been treating you? in case you are new to the 12 days, please feel free to leave my blog and head over here to get the low down. so today is a smeared ink day!!! since i'm making a grumpie tree, i needed a grumpie tree topper. now this isn't quite what i wanted but it's cute. it is double sided, with the same grumpie on each side. i cut two pieces of cardboard then inked up with red, distressed the edges, inked some more, stamped, added glitter just to the eyebrows, and little bit of bling. i may turn this into an ornament though, i think i can do a better topper, i'm not saying i don't like this, but it would make a better ornament then topper. get to hopping!!!! enjoy! lisa

Day 3
hello, go here for some info on the 12 days. did you think i was done with my grumpie christmas? oh no, not yet, i still have 1 or so more grumpietastic ideas for my Christmas tree! since we are in the process of moving, we do not have a tree up :(, but hubby went out and bought the little tree you see here :). this little tree is my grumpie tree! (the move has made us all very grumpie and somewhat bitter and angry too) today i have a grumpie garland. again, this is made with the velum and alochol inks, stamped grumpies with staz-on. i put a knot on the right side of each grumpie to help them stay in place. sorry i couldn't get the whole thing in the picture, but all in good time my dear hoppers, all in good time. now go to smeared ink and buy a set of grumpies for your Christmas tree! now, go to my sidebar and get to hopping! before you go, here's the outside picture of my wreath, i hope it's a little better

day 2
hello and welcome back to day 2 of the 12 days, go here for the info. today is a smeared ink day! now, if you saw thursday's post, (if not scroll down), then you can see i'm trying to bulid a grumpie christmas. i also plan to make one more thing to match my little set here. this wreath made me realize my mom was right in saying think before you do something. i started doing this one way, so i did holes on all the sides, but then realized that wouldn't work, so i made a few more and did the holes on top and bottom. so you may be asking how i made the grumpies look so awesome. well i did the velum, alcohol inks thing. i used red and green inks and staz-on to stamp the grumpies. it looked pretty good, but when i took the picture, it looked plain, so i cut up a green pick thing and wrapped each one in between. i'm hoping to take an outside picture tomorrow so you can see how pretty it is! now go to my sidebar and get to hoping! enjoy! lisa

smeared ink thurs!!!!!!
hello, and welcome to smeared ink thursday, and on time this week!!!! yay for me! so, do you remember day 29 from the 31 days, if not go here. as you can see i did lonely boy in paper, then put him on the ornament, but with my grumpie, i stamped it directly on. i used staz-on, but i didn't use the block, i left the stamp unmounted so i could maneuver it easier. so the pictures are shiny, but you can get the idea :). so, go here to buy this wonderful grumpie set and get to making super easy, cute ornaments. don't forget to come back tomorrow for day 2 of the 12 days of Christmas, because my project will go perfectly with this ornament! enjoy! lisa

day 1 of the 12 days of christmas!!!!!
hello, and welcome to the 12 days of Christmas, with the smeared ink forum ladies!!!!! what are the 12 days of Christmas, well go here. i kept my first project pretty simple, because i plan on make about 24 of these for small child's class. the only difference is the class will not get the super cute bottle i got from smeared ink's odds and ends section. the reasons they will not be getting them, is that they are 4 and i really not sure if parents would appreciate me giving their small child a glass bottle, but for my familys small children it would be cool. plus i'm being selfish, cause i really like the bottles. small child really likes the bottle too. the first one i made i told him it was for him, but i first needed to take a picture. well when i went to take the picture, he had cut off the bottle and took it to school to show his friends. all was well, but i really wasn't to happy about it, but at least i know he really likes it! i painted an atc with green painted, and the reindeer and snowflake are from tac, i found the reindeer food poem on the interent. and for the food, just put oatmeal, sugar, and glitter all together. even though you really can't see it in the picture, for the food glitter i used the chunky cheap glitter, it easier to see by the flying reindeer then the fine stuff. the blog roll can be found on my sidebar! now get to hopping! enjoy! lisa
