smeared ink thurs!!!!
hello and welcome to smeared ink thursday! i love smeared ink thursday, don't you? if not, keep coming by you will! i used holy city for this little project. i love this set because it reminds me of new orleans, the best place in the world. holy city has awesome images of churchs and graveyards and so does nola. for this project i kept it kinda of simple. i stamped the image with distressed ink, (the brown one, i can't remember the name, sorry) then i used my oil pastels. i put some brown and green in the trees then smudged it together. on the gravestones i used red, brown, green, blue, and orange, then smudged. looks pretty cool huh. i may change the frame out. it seems to busy for the image, but for now it stays. did you hop yesterday? if so, well great! if not, feel free to scroll down and hop, i really don't think the others will mind. i'm going to enter this into hdh enjoy! lisa

delicious doodles done smeared ink style blog hop!
hello and welcome to delicious doodles done up by the smeared ink design team!
sometimes stamps are the project, sometimes they help enhance the project. when i was looking through all the wonderful images from delicious doodles i saw this one and thought of my grandmother, lilies were her favoriate flower. (my next tattoo is going to be a lily with a humingbird in memory of her) she taught me the joy of crafting, sewing, cross stitch, scrapbooking, etc. so i made a scrap page for her. i colored the lilies pink and green, her favoriate colors. nana and papaw loved to travel, so i added a map part. i thought it was too cool that i found a recipe with corn bread and biskets, because that is what she loved. when she would ask what you want to eat, if you said 'i don't care' then she would say 'then it's corn bread and buttermilk :)' her favoriate (we hated it). i added a vintage ad for needle point and a part of a book page finishes it off. besides crafting, she loved to read. she helped make me the person i am today and i miss her tons. enjoy and get to hopping! lisa

not quite done yet......
hello guys and welcome to smeared ink thursday! sorry this post is coming late and not quite done, but our new house is slowly becoming the money pit. the plumbing did go horribly bad, but now all is right with the world, sort of. so my project is half finished, i'm planning on making this for alex's challenge here, so come and join us so you can play too!!!! for my take on the challenge, i'm totally ripping alex off :) (when you steal an idea, it's always good to admit it). i must say in my defense though, i've been thinking of doing this for awhile, because i'm tried of all my little pieces of ripped off envolpes address floating everywhere. due to plumbing all that i finished is the front page, but it's cool, cause it's awesome! i stamped holy city from smeared ink onto a music sheet. i tried to cut out 'address' on my cricut, but i had the pressure set to low, so it didn't come off the paper, i got a little mad, then decided to make it work (thank you tim gunn). so i inked it with green and white to make it stand out. the base paper is an index card that i inked up with green, peach, and aged paper. a poof and a key thing finish it off, when it's really finished i will show you again! enjoy! lisa

smeared and smudged member blog hop!!!!!
hello, and welcome to the smeared and smudged member blog hop!!!! we would like to welcome you to join us here at the smeared and smudged forum! the theme for the hop is something new, to try or do something new. well, my something new is using stamps in a painting. now this may not be new to some, and i do use stamps with paints and on altered things, but this is done on an 8 by 10 thing. i painted it with red and black arylic paints then stamped the fly on the 'painting'. i then printed out some ladies from femdom from smeared ink. i colored them with blue then olive colored pencils. (sorry about the pictures, bad lighting and weather). i cut out some bugs from an old biology book and 'hello my pet' also from femdom. why is it things look better in person then on the internet. anyway, i also wanted to show what i wanted to put up for monday's blog hop! (that didn't get finished on time)
you know when the love of your life starts changing their phone number, moving, changing jobs, in general playing hard to get. will i have made the perfect gift! i used a v-day grumpie from smeared ink. i printed them out very small, then cut out 3 circles for each flower to place them in the middle. to make the flowers, i stuck a wire in the middle, then cut slits and then crumpled them. i printed out 'i'll find you' rather large, then covered with glitter. for the base i cut a foam ball in half then painted it with pink, black, and silver paint, before it dried, i lightly covered it with glitter. it is too cute! now get to hopping! enjoy! lisa

smeared ink new release blog hop!!!!!
hello all and welcome to smeared ink's new release blog hop!!! over at smeared ink they are releasing FIVE sets of new digi's!!!! i'm learning to love digi's, at first, they were not my friends, but we are learning to love one another, and i'm looking into photoshop, cause lady b does some awesome stuff and i want to copy her :). for our hop i worked with femdom and v-day grumpie. i had something else planned for the grumpie, but the sickness got me again, so it didn't get finished, i'm hoping to finish it for tues though. i'm sorry about the pictures, the weather has been horrible for the past few days. for my first atc, i used femdom-spreader bar. i tried to go with light coloring, almost andy warholish, but it didn't come out in the picture, but please trust me, it's there. and for my grumpie i placed them in to two puffs, i painted the background, with a mixture of green, blue, and silver. i loved making the senitment bigger, to bring out the crazniess. enjoy and get to hopping! lisa

smeared ink thurs!!!!!
hello! so this is not what i had in mind for today! and i'm sorry it looks a little funky. what i had in mind i will show you at the end. i used candy is dandy from smeared ink. i embossed it with black embossing powder. well when i went to color it, i though it would be fun to use my oil pasteals. so i colored then i went to blend, the oils and the embossing powder blended together to give the colors at black tint to them. i kinda like it, but it wasn't what i was going for. for the background i mixed some water with pink and silver arylic paint, painted it, then while it was wet, i added a few drops of alochol ink. now here is what i spent about an hour on and LOOK AT IT, it's awful!!!!!
mind you, i used the same stamp as above, and i oh so carefully glued inbetween each line to add micro beads to. i was trying to color it with micro beads. it looked so flippin' awesome. BUT LOOK AT IT NOW!!!!!! here's where i went wrong, i think, or at least i'm pretty sure. i didn't let the flippin' glue dry all the way before i added the glaze on top. i wanted to add the glaze to protect my work. i added glaze and then went to bed, i woke up to find THIS! one day i will find a use for it, i've grown to like it since i have somewhat got past my disappoiment. and i might try this again, this time i will wait for the glue to dry. enjoy! lisa

hambo stamp and i
hello friends, so i have made this super cute card with spring bunnies from hambo stamps. they were cute with springs on their feet and in a bunch, but since i can't do things they way they are supposed to be done, i had to cut them up :). so i cut four little bunnies, colored the ears, nose, and belly pink, then i added clear stickles to the bunnies for sparkle. while they were drying i punched out 4 book pages, distressed the edges and added some pink ink to the edges. for the seintment i was going to do something eastery, but after it was finished, the bunnies looked like they wanted a hug, so came the hug me, and since the bunnies and paper were in groups of four, so had to be the hug me! enjoy! lisa

organization is key
hello, in my enteral quest for organization i have decorated spice jars. as we were moving i decied to pruge the things that we do not use and find another use or donate. the spice rack it self was donated and the jars are perfect for small things. i recently bought a tim holtz stamp set, which i loving, i thought would be perfect on my jar lids. the tree in the background is the negative image of a punch, that i used as a stenical. i added some ribbon from mayan arts, i believe, to the edges just cause i like it.
the jars i got at an auction, 5 for like $12, i love them so very much. enjoy! lisa

smeared ink thurs on a fri
hello, sorry this is a day late. the sickness got me on thurs and i slept for most of the day. i made this using an incense box that i bought for 1.50, it came with incense but to be honset i bought it just for the box and it was only 1.50. also i discovered that make-up appliers make good paint brushes. with the move i still haven't found everything yet. it worked perfect, the paint dried fast and it gave even coverage. remember my grumpie oranment that i used pattern paper on, well, i did the same here, there was a image on the top of the box, that the paint would not cover. i used shadow things from smeared ink, to me shadow things beg to be embossed. i think they are perfect for embossing with all their wonderful dots. for the edge of the box, i added book pages that i glued on, then ripped off the excess, then inked with aged paper ink. enjoy! lisa

lines and such
hello friends, i made this card using as death and shadow things from smeared ink. i used a card borad thing for the card base. i inked it up with blue and silver ink, that alone looked super awesome, but i thought it needed more! so i added some left over paper scraps. i stamped the cloudy moon from shadow things in silver then again in brown. then from as death a stamped the skelly and inked him with the blue and silver, then oh so carefully cut him out! i used a couple of pop dots things to give him a raised look! enjoy! lisa
